Aurora
Aurora Aksnes is a Norwegian singer and songwriter from Norway. Her birthplace was in Stavanger on June 15, 1996. She is professionally referred to as Aurora. Her name can be also stylized in the form of AURORA. Her debut E.P. Running with the Wolves was released by Decca Records Decca Records in May 2015 receiving great approval by music journalists and press. The singer has recorded two highly-profile cover songs Half the World Away by the group Oasis in a commercial for Christmas from John Lewis and Nature Boy by Nat King Cole. Katy Perry's support for her song Runaway on her blog brought the singer additional acknowledgement. It was her birthday celebration. Aurora Aksnes earliest musical memory is that of finding a piano in her attic and becoming enthralled by the music it could create. Jan Oystein Aksnes was her father. He urged her not to play music only for fun or to aid in development but instead, she should explore it. They advised her to compose. She credits renowned composers Leonard Cohen and Bob Dylan in her influences, along with an affinity for Bjork's style. Her mother had said that her songs would not just help her get noticed, but also make others see their importance in the world and realize how they can benefit from the songs, she decided to begin performing publicly. The mother of her child suggested that she be able to perform her music publicly in order so that people can see their own importance and how they can affect the world. It wasn't until her 14th birthday that she told her parents. Aurora wasn't a childhood dream. Her only passion is writing music. According to her, the music she composes is her way of feeling everything.
