Aurora
Aurora Aksnes born 15th June 1996 Stavanger is an Norwegian musician and songwriter. Her debut E.P. Running with the Wolves by Decca Records was released on May 15th of 2015 receiving rave reviews from bloggers and music critics as well as the media. Half the World Away - by Oasis is a cover for John Lewis' Christmas ad and Nature Boy - by Nat King Cole is already two of the most notable covers she has recorded. Katy Perry, who endorsed the song Runaway from her side, has given it some more recognition. Enjoy her day. Aurora Aksnes' first musical moment was when she stumbled across a miniature piano hidden in the basement, and bewildered by the sound it made. Jan Oystein Aksnes, her parents May Britt Aksnes and Jan Oystein Aksnes, encouraged their daughter to take up music for a love rather than a profession. For this reason she started writing her own original compositions. In addition to Bjork as well, she mentions Leonard Cohen as an influence. Responding to her mother's suggestions that she should not be aiming to become famous with her songwriting, but instead be aware of the significance of them and the impact they have on society. When she began playing the piano, she was six years old and started writing songs when she was nine. It was not until she turned 14 that she revealed her plans to her parents. Aurora wasn't a dream. She claims that she enjoys writing music. According to her, the music she composes is how she feels about any thing.
